Seeds

Nuts and seeds, such as almonds, pecans, walnuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and peanuts, all contain a host of health boosting vitamins, minerals, proteins and fats for a healthy heart and brain… even your waistline. Nuts and seeds can reduce inflammation, balance cholesterol and the blood lipid profile, provide satiating fiber and protein and immune-boosting minerals.

Some people have difficulty digesting nuts and seeds. In this case, soaking them overnight initiates the sprouting process and improves digestibility.

They are best consumed in limited amounts if weight loss is desired or if digestive difficulties are present, however in these situations the nuts and seeds rich in omega 3 fatty acids (flax seed / Linn seed, walnut and pumpkin seed) may be beneficial as these fats can actually improve metabolism.

Important Note for those of you with peanut allergies – Our products are processed and packed in a factory that handles peanuts!
